Pet Insurance at Comer Vet
Pet insurance is similar to human medical insurance, in that it can help cover costs of certain procedures, depending on the policy and company. Pet insurance can be beneficial for unexpected expenses, and some policies even cover wellness appointments and other preventative care appointments. Please note: Unlike human insurance, the pet owner is in charge of working with a pet insurance company for coverage and reimbursement. This means that pet owners may only find out a procedure, medication, etc. isn't covered until after they file their insurance claim.
How it works:

The owner pays for services up-front at Comer Vet.

The owner then submits invoices to the pet insurance company to claim services for reimbursement, per their contract requirements.

The insurance company may contact Comer Vet for medical records before making a decision and accepting the claim to reimburse for it.

Third-Party Payment Options
Comer Vet does offer two third-party payment options at this time, which pet parents may choose to look into as well in case they run into a situation where their pet requires something that is not covered by their pet insurance, or if they do not find a pet insurance plan that fits their needs and budget.

Scratch Pay Payment Plan:
Scratch Pay is a lending platform with flexible terms and a small down payment so pet parents can repay over time for veterinary care. Split treatment costs into smaller monthly payments.
