Comer Veterinary Hospital is now part of the SpayGeorgia low-cost spay and neuter grant program! Here's how it works:

1. Pet parents may visit the SpayGeorgia website and, for a $3 application fee, apply for a voucher certificate.

2. If SpayGeorgia decides the applicant meets the necessary requirements, a certificate is issued and mailed to the pet parent. This certificate is a voucher toward the cost of spay and neuter procedures for dogs and cats; it is not a gift certificate for a free procedure.

3. Once your certificate is in hand, you can call Comer Vet to schedule your pet's spay or neuter procedure! You must mention at the time of booking that you have your SpayGeorgia certificate.

 

Some fine print:

• Voucher certificates expire six months after they're issued by SpayGeorgia.

• SpayGeorgia determines whether or not applicants meet the requirements for this program. Comer Vet does not have any say in this decision. Comer Vet does not issue voucher certificates.

• Pets must be up-to-date on their rabies vaccine and need to have had a wellness exam at Comer Vet within the past calendar year in order to have their spay or neuter performed at our clinic. If your pet is not yet a Comer Vet patient, this can be scheduled ahead of time when you call to book your spay or neuter. Costs associated with pre-surgical wellness exams and rabies vaccines are not covered by the voucher certificate.

• At this time, Comer Vet is not part of SpayGeorgia's feral trap and release program.

• Comer Vet will be eligible to participate in this program as long as grant funding is available.
